“B” Vitamins, Unleash The Beast Inside You

This is another vitamin article that I have written, but the only difference is that this one goes into more detail about specific vitamins. My previous articles do not do that. Those articles were more of a short introduction into vitamins, their role and their best food source. I’ll start with 2 water Soluble Vitamins and 1 fat soluble vitamins.
Water Soluble Vitamins: These are water-soluble vitamins that are not stored in the body and must be replaced each day. These vitamins are Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, Folic Aid, Pantothenic Acid, Biotin and vitamin C.
Lets start with the b vitamins: Vitamin B1 is needed to process carbs, fats, and proteins. Vitamin b1 is required by everybody to form the fuel the body runs on. Every nerve cell requires vitamin b1 to function properly. Wheat germ, peas, beans, enriched flour, fish, peanuts, and meat are all excellent sources of vitamin b1. People with advancing age, a poor diet and too much alcohol consumption may result in vitamin b1 deficiency. The suggested RDA for vitamin b1 is unclear but The amount found in most multivitamin supplements is more than enough. Vitamin b1 works hand in hand with vitamin b2 and vitamin b3.
Vitamin b2: Helps release energy from foods. Essential for healthy eyes, skin, nails and hair. Their sources are: Whole grains, brewer’s yeast, torula yeast, wheat germ, almonds, sunflower seeds,cooked leafy vegetables. The suggested RDA for vitamin b2 is unclear but The amount found in most multivitamin supplements is more than enough.
Please note, be aware that vitamin b3 or Niacin, as its commonly known as, may cause a reaction in some people. Itching and or burning are two of the symptoms. The author of this article found that out the hard way. Fat-soluble vitamins: Theses vitamins are A, D, E and K. These vitamins are dissolved in fat and stored, therefore they are not needed every day in the diet. Over consumption of fat soluble vitamins may pose a risk of toxicity.
Vitamin A: Vitamin a is a fat soluble vitamin and as mentioned before, should not be consumed in excess. For the maintenance of skin, mucous membranes, bones, teeth, and hair; eye sight. Their sources are: green vegetables, melon, squash, tomatoes.

At night

First remove your makeup with an oil-free makeup remover and a cotton ball.

In the morning

One of the fastest growing sectors of the medical industry is that of home health. There are many reasons for this growth, but most important are:
The number of aging and infirm citizens in the country.
The lower cost of care in relation to hospitals and long term care facilities.
The fact health providers consider home care to be the most humane and compassionate form of care.
Because of the rapid growth in this category of health care, a variety of employment opportunities have become available. Many hospitals are turning to home health as a method to recapture revenue that would be otherwise lost. Despite the efforts of hospitals to enter the home care market, private companies dominate home health. Since these are primarily businesses that have not been in existence for long, they need to hire not only for in home providers, but also for support and administrative positions.
The future demand for home care will be staggering. In 1997, over 22.4 million households provided home care to a loved one over 50. Over time, this drain on physical and emotional resources will result in a desire for outside help in the home. Additionally, Medicare funding of short term home health care is projected to more than double by 2010. Meanwhile, workers employed in the home health field actually dropped by 29,000 in 2000. The projected employment outlook for just home health aides leads all medical job categories at a whopping 66.8%!

Let me give you an example.On October 6, 2003, the hospital sent a bill to my insurance carrier (Blue Cross of California) in the amount of $11,569.20 for “Inpatient Services” related to an uncomplicated c-section and a 2-day stay. My insurance carrier “discounted” the bill by $9,869.20 to $1,700.00. This is the “fair and reasonable” amount they “pay” for this service.

But wait, who paid? I did! This claim put me over my deductible for the year by whopping $7.70. The amount applied to a member’s deductible is always the amount billed minus the “patient savings” minus any insurance reimbursement and amounts “not allowed.”Mark my word, essentially, you will require major surgery or you will have a significant accident that results in enormous bills before you will meet your deductible—if you are still even able to meet this amount at all.

And until you exceed this amount, you are a cash paying patient. Make no mistake about it.See for yourself. In my case, the amount applied to the deductible for the above transaction was: $11,569.20 – $9,869.20 – $11.00 = $1,689.00.If you are still a non-believer, I can show you the bill on April 4, 2003 for $766 where I paid $266 and only $84.26 was applied to the deductible. I have many more examples and I’m sure that if you pay attention, you will find plenty of your own.

But can you really afford to pay cash for healthcare?Absolutely! What you can’t afford, is healthcare insurance. If you have a family, you already know that this is true. If you are single—maybe, but why throw your money down the toilet when you can get so much more for your hard earned cash!? I have a wife and 4 kids. To pay $6,000.00 in premiums and miscellaneous fees this year is simply unacceptable. I’m joining the ranks of the uninsured and I have a good job!

I just called Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital to get an update on the cost of a c-section. Low and behold, the cash price for a c-section is $3,000.00. You can call yourself.But what if you get injured and have massive bills? You have too much to loose.Of course you do. Hopefully, however, you are not ignorant enough to believe that your healthcare insurance company is going to bail you out under these circumstances.

If for some God forsaken reason you are hit by a truck and spend 2 months in the hospital accumulating millions of dollars in bills, I am afraid that you will still be in a pickle because your insurance carrier is sure to sue the trucker’s insurance carrier etc. for the next 10 years while the collectors come after you for unpaid bills.You owe it to yourself to get smart and stop giving your hard earned cash to this scandalous industry.
